6MT question

Quick question for all the 6MT owners,

Is it me or are the Acura (poss. Honda) clutches "grabbier" than most clutches? I didn't notice such feedback in BMWs, VWs, and Inifinitis.

Doesn't really bother me although my somewhat infrequent occupants seem to notice.

I only have expereince with Honda/Acura clutches (except for a Miata). I find them to be quite pleasant.

Honda MTs are the best on the market. The feedback is intentional.

Well, I'm going to differ on the clutch part. Sure, Honda shifters are nice, but I've always hated their clutches. The pedal always engages too close to the top of the pedal travel (at least in every one I've owned or driven), and the engagement point is very narrow.

Also, did they finally put a self-adjusting clutch in the TSX or does this have to be adjusted every 15K miles? (Ugh, if so).

That being said, my Integra clutch did last 155K miles, and it was finally the springs that gave out -- the plate still had plenty of grip.

I have to say

And the clutch is self-adjusting.

I like the high and narrow engagement point, I think you can shift faster

The TSX clutch has a much shorter travel than most BMWs I have driven. It's also softer with less effort required. Most of the engagement happens in the last 1/4 of the cluthc travel. IMO, it just takes a while to get used to it. It's not a huge issue.
