6-speed shifter stolen at dealer
Well, I took my car into Sherway Acura (Toronto) to get a problem with seat movement fixed. Went to Europe, came back a week later and picked the fixed car up. Lo and behold, some POS had stolen the original equipment shifter. I dropped the car in their service bay (inside) before giving them the keys and leaving. I drove it right back into the service bay tonight, and the service manager wondered if I had taken it off. I had to contain myself that at a car dealer that claims to be upscale would wonder if you steal your own shifter. They were good about it and went and got another. Some o ftheir other cars on the lot were missing them as well.
QUESTION: I recall it had dark blue leather around the middle, and titanium finish on top, but this one they put on had a reddish tone to the titanium. Is this a proper match? It doesn't seem to go with the dash trim, but we couldn't find another car like mine on the lot, and said POS didn't leave his parked in the lot.

The silver on the knob isn't supposed to match exactly with the silver dash trim. It is normally a lil reddish/bronze when compared to the silver dash trim.

cool. I couldn't remember what the damn thing looked like - I was just spooked that some jerk would rip it while it was at the dealer. My son also said that the replacement was the same as the original. It turns out the POS also stole my parking lot swipe card. It never leaves the red pocket marked 'not for cigarettes (or whatever)'. Why would you pinch a swipe card when you don't know what it opens?
