I had my 5k oil change/tire rotation done on Monday. I brought in my own oil and filter. The service writer forgot to put that I brought my own oil filter, so the tech went ahead and used an OEM one. Do you guys think I should ask them to change the oil again with the new filter? The advisor told me that the OEM filter was made by Mobil, but I've seen a few reports stating they're made by Fram.

I also had to wait around and extra 10-15 minutes because they lost the key to my car. This is the second time they have lost it.

 

The OEM filter is made by FRAM. Just look on the filter, there is a fat made by fram logo on there. But I wouldn't worry too much about it, don't make a ass out of something small and find yourself on the "blacklist" of the service dept.

I would also be catious of them losing your key....they might be trying to copy it.....
