441 miles on a tank of gass

I hit 441 miles on a tank of gas in my TSeX. Although, i think I I should have run out of gas since the gas gauge was way below the bottom line. I like to live on the edge.....you can see what's over the side of the cliff that way.

What's the most amount of miles anyone has been able to pull out of a single tank of gas?.......In the TSX.

That guy who bought the RSX for the gas mileage should read this.

468.75 miles (750 km's) all highway with the AC on 50% of the drive.

Member sauceman has done over 625 miles on a few occasions.

Didn't we go over this already? The RSX Premium gets far better MPG than the TSX. about 4-5 gallons per tank actually.

TSX EPA Estimated Fuel Mileage (city/highway)

Manual: 22/31* mpg
Automatic: 21/30* mpg

RSX EPA Estimated Fuel Mileage (city/highway)

5-Speed Manual: 27/34
5-Speed Automatic: 25/34

Ya, when the 04's came out they did. In fact AT window stickers said 23/32 but they changed it sometime between 04 and 05.

Holy great gas milage batman! 625? Must have been all down hill. I would have beet my 441 if I haden't have been provoked to drop the hammer on a few chumps that flexed on my TSeX!

450 miles is no surprise, really. On a longer road trip, I did around 450 miles on only 15 gallons of gas. That was at below recommended tire pressure too, so this time around, running proper tire pressures and hiding behind a few more large vehicles, I should easily be able to get even better gas mileage.

The first week that I had my car when I got it, I was driving on acura's full gas tank that they gave me and I got 513 miles city. Now I average about 350-400 a gas tank city.
BTW If would i get more gas mileage if I run on premium rather then regular?

Damn, I must really be a really shitty driver. I only get about 320-340 all city driving. I lay the blame fully on the cold air intake!

Nice... I got just over 440 miles when I drove to D.C. and back last week, and the low fuel light had just turned on when I filled her up.

When my low fuel light comes on, the trip meter says I still have around 65 miles to go. Is that what it suppose to say?

The first tank of gas from Acura I got 410miles out of it and probably could have squoze (<--should be a word) another 40+ miles out of it.

I can get 441 in the city. My best is 500 miles on a tank all highway. The key with the tsx is to drive as smooth as possible and to stay below 3500 rpms for the best fuel mileage.

Yeah, it seems like the light comes on way too early. Forgive me if this has already been discussed, I'm a noob, got my TSX less than a week ago. Anyway, I filled it up yesterday after the light came on - and only put in 13.2 gallons. WTF? Doesn't this thing have a 17 gallon tank? At a low average of 25 mpg, I should be able to go another 75 miles!! Is this the case?

Me too. I mean, I put my foot in it a few times, but but I usually get 350 and that is mixed city and highway.

I went to 390 one time before I got nervous and filled up. Turns out I still had 1.5 gallons left after the fill up

maybe it's me kicking the crap out of my car but I can't seem to get 400KM from a tank... Maybe it has to do with the constant redlining.... Oh well...

I personally run mid grade, but I have only filled up once. I got about 320 before the light came on, but that is mostly city driving. Im driving to Vegas tonight and it sounds like the TSX would get the best mileage out of all my cars, but I dont want the front end to get rock dings, so I'll end up taking my Saab, even if doesnt get better gas mileage.

Wouldnt your gas mileage also depend on the average RPM you run your car at (MT)? My boyfriend usually runs his car another 500-1000 RPMS higher than I like too before shifting. (he has not driven the TSX yet!)

I'm currently at 368 mi. The fuel warning light came on at around 335. I'm gonna fill er' up when I get to 400.

BTW, this is 50hwy/50city driving. After 10K mi the engine feels stronger and the fuel economy is getting better too. I've got the Mobil 1 in the trunk and just need to schedule the 10K service to change the oil and rotate tires.

I was able to pull 443 out of the next tank averaging 29.6 miles per gallon.

Half city / Half highway

This car rocks for gas mileage!

This time the yellow light came on with 75 miles of driving left. I always push it to the max though. When I filled up the needle was down past the red line.

467 miles on a tank! That's my new record. Thank god I didn't run out of gas yesterday! I knew I had to get gas, but put it off and forgot. Then I looked down and blammo....big yellow light and my trip meter read --- for miles to go. shweeew! I should have pushed it to 470...hehehe

467? wwwaaaaa? I just filled up yesterday with like barely 20 miles left on the trip computer and i had only gone barely 350 miles. GGGRRRR!
But then again, i've only got less than 3000 miles on my engine... So... lets hope it gets much better after break in. I was hoping to get 30mpg out of my TSX. Most of my driving is highway driving.

^^ It will get better as you put more miles on the car. I went through the same thing and so have many others.

totally. I've been averaging 26.0 MPG on city driving and 30.6 MPG on highway driving. It's awesome.

I remember my jetta days where I averaged 20 MPG city driving / 24.6 highway driving.

Does any one know? Is the fuel pump on TSX submerged in petrol? Do you risk harm to the fuel pump if you let the tank run bone dry?

Some people say you do. I let the car run pretty dry regularly, and I have yet to experience these problems.

I try to go as close to bone dry as I can every time! I have only filled up twice now without getting at least 430 miles out of a tank. I actually get a little upset if I don't get 440miles. Spoiled I guess. Anyway, I don't see any harm in letting the tank get low. It keeps any crap from building up in the bottom of the tank. Besides, I think the only way to damage the fuel pump is to keep running out of gas and having it pump fumes instead of gas.

I have 5500 miles on it, so if the gas mileage gets better with time.....woooohoooo!
