350Z Radar Mount and Passport 8500
Hey, im thinking about doing a conversion from the wire that goes down to the cigarette lighter, to an Invisicord, and attaching the radar to the Rear View mirror.
I did do a search, but i could only find it with a V1, not a passport 8500.
Anyone done this here?
Also, my friend did it in his 350z, and after a few days, his radar went crazy. it would go off full K or Ka Alert, randomly. sometimes even in his driveway, while not even moving.
350z forum said it was prob just his radar going old, and not the invisicord.
Well, any help would be appreciated!

i have the invisicord on mine and it works great.
only annoying thing it does is shut off when you put the car in reverse or anytime you pass by the reverse gear since the power supply to the mirror shuts off then.
really don't think theres a way around it but oh well. its a lot cleaner look and some people don't even notice it.

just cut up an old phone cord and grab power from the auto dimming mirror. Works like a charm, takes about 30 minutes and its (practically) free. Also you wont have any visible wires.

I did this awhile back, but check the instructions that came with it. There are 3 points for power, 1 is the ground, 1 is the reverse cut-off and the final one is the accessory.
