boring

Over the past 10 years I have leased two lexus models, the Gs300 and the big luxury model. I loved the cars when I leased them and could not wait to get rid of them at the end of the lease. The Lexus driving experience is boring . The cars are competent and well made but the driver is insulated from the driving experience . The cars felt dead to me. Competent but dead.Lexus is for people who don't like to drive.

I had the big Lexus first. I leased the GS 300 in the hope that it would be more sporty. It was the same. Dull.

Yeah, but by all reports, the IS300 is a lot more fun to drive than any other Lexus. It is really the first sporty Lexus.

the IS will run circles around most sportsedans and even more fun to drive than my 3 series... that thing is a blast to drive on twisties and you can get the rear to come loose and have fun in a controlled drift....and what made you think the flagship luxury car would be fun to drive?

Lexus IS 300

I bet you Toyota gets it right next time. The IS 300 has three serious drawbacks:
1. Size. It is a tad too small.
2. Gas mileage. Ugh!!
3. Price. Not a value like the TSX.

In the next model year, they'll offer a larger car with better gas mileage, but not at a good price. Why? 'cause Toyota never learns with prices.

In the meantime, GO TSX!!!!

I like IS300, and if the salesperson could drop the price about 3K less, I wouldn't be in a TSX now.

Anyways, I don't think IS is a fast car. It is a FUN car to drive though. For me, I will replace the shocks. It's just a tad too soft.

However, as much as people hate BMW 3-series here, still, a 330i with sport pkg is faster than an IS300 even if it doesn't feel like it is (proven in autocross).
