I hope it looks like the interior of the MDX. Don't like the steeringwheel though. The one in my 06 TL is A LOT better looking. not as cheap.
Acura is trying to go more into the luxury segment which is why they got rid of the TSX.
One thing they should definately have in all their redeisgned cars is touch screen navis. I'd be very disappointed if they get rid of that.

I think it would be a wise decision by Honda in order to keep up with trends of ever increasing power and AWD from virtually every automaker. In the TSX's last comparison test (I forget which mag) it's only downfall was a power shortage. I find the same being as though you can blast to 60 in under 7 seconds in basically any car.

its ok but i personally think the current tsx with the oem kit is hotter. That pic looks like the cocept pic of every car that came out this year. The edges and the open front bumper of the current tsx is more agressive.

I'm disappointed
I attended an automotive research study this past Sunday in Tustin, CA. It was a 2 hour session and the group of 20 or so of us got to evaluate some cars. (There were probably 5 sessions on Saturday and 5 on Sunday) We didn't get to drive the cars and all the emblems were taped over ( so we couldn't tell what cars they were 
) but we did get to take a close look, sit in them, and answer survey questions about what we thought of them. In order to participate I signed a confidentiality agreement which prevents me from divulging any information presented at the study.
Since the brand and model were not presented I can tell you that I was looking at the newest versions of the IS350, A4, BMW 3 series, and Acura TSX. And, from what I saw, I was a little disappointed with the styling of the upcoming TSX. I can't get into specifics but I can tell you that the pics in this thread are a decent approximation but not very close and some significant changes have been made. If you like the look of the MDX then you will probably like the direction Acura has chosen. I like the smooth flowing less angular lines of my 04 TSX.

oh gosh if it the next gen TSX has that robotic grill like the MDX, that would look ugly.
i like the MDX's front end, but backend is kind of ordinary. but since the MDX now has LED taillights, i guess the new TSX will too?
i sat in the MDX's interior, kind of nice, but confusing too and the materials in the dash are kind of odd.

MDX style Grille on TSX. All they had to do was a refresh on the styling (LED Tails, modify the bumper a little bit) and throw in the Turbo K series with SH-AWD. And label that the TSX-S and keep the other model unchanged.
I understand that a FMR was needed.

I got called out of the blue. When I got there the parking lot was full of TSXs with a couple of A4 and Accords thrown in. I was wondering if anyone else from Azine participated.

^^ interior, exterior, and trunk only, no engine bay. All cellphones were confiscated before entering so no pics. 
From a looks standpoint, inside & outside, I felt it was the worst looking.
I don't know if they'll sue or not. I don't want to tempt them and I don't want to be blacklisted from coming back in the future.

I don't like what Honda did with the Civic, MDX and the new Accord so I was hoping they would redeem themselves with the TSX, at least. Maybe I'll just have to switch to Lexus when I decide I want a new car.

Hmmm, I'm a little nervous now from your account of all the vehicles at the thing you went to. I do really like the new MDX, but not sure how its looks would [loosely] translate into the TSX. I was really hoping for a hot new TSX. 
But, to each his own, and maybe I'll like it. Sometimes, it also takes a little bit of time for a design to grow on me. I hated the new MDX at first, and now I like it a lot.
Maybe they will make some changes. There's still time. And damn, why don't I ever get invited to things like that? I guess being in CA near their design center makes it easier, lol.

I got a call to go to one of these events about 3 months ago in Costa Mesa CA, and they said they would pay me $100 to participate. The woman called me out of the blue on my work phone (which is strange as i know only a few people have it, one being Acura Service Department at the dealership I go to) and asked if I wanted to take part in a disucussion group about new cars including Acuras. I couldn't make it as I had something already scheduled but I said I was definetely interested if they did anything like this again. I just hope they call me back the next time.

Check out what someone posted at vtec related to this:
"Okay, I got called for a focus group by a company since I had a TSX. So I went down to the location and it was actually being done by Acura. They owners of mostly TSX's, but also accords, civics, 325's, Audi and IS250 there. So they took us through background questions then took us to the back room. There they had 4 cars that they wanted to look at, all emblems were covered up but obviously the 325, A4 and IS250 and a modified TSX.
Overall exterior was only slightly modified, front looks more aggressive with RDX style cut in lights and half the MDX "shield" ac cross the font. Honeycomb pattern behind. Door handles still chrome, bigger looking though. But anyway enough of the outside, they asked us questions about the engine, and it was a Conjoint analysis where they vary pricing of 4 cars with different engine types asking which would you buy.

205 hp, 4 cyl, premium gas
205 hp 4 cyl, unleaded
250 hp 6 cyl, unleaded
280 hp 6 cyl, premium

As a current owner, hoping for more exterior/interior changes to what I saw, very evolutionary changes to the car. But if they do pick the 250/280 hp engines, would make it an easier decision to make... "

I don't see them going 280 though because then it's creaping into the TL-S category which would be a bad decision for Acura IMO.
Just hope it's still DOHC and moddable unlike the CL motor which wasn't very moddable except for intake and headers. Unless of course you have $5K for the SC.
They are better off keeping the current TSX motor and simply adding in a TYPE-S trim level with between 240-250hp.

i hope that i can get a call too. that would be neat to do a survey like that. of course i'll say 250 hp unleaded, so that you can fill up the next TSX with 87 or 89 and not have to gas with 93 as much.

Too bad Honda put their first venture into turbo territory into the wrong car. Turbo's are wonderful as long as you don't put them into a car that ends up running on boost all the time.
