2008 TSX Interest Rates and Pricing

I will be looking to trade my 2001 TL-P in on a 2008 TSX. I have excellent credit, 720+ and would like to know what interest rates people are getting for a 60 month loan. I have qualified for AHFC in the past and my credit is only better.
I have been quoted $26,599 for a 2008 non-navi. This is before TT&L. I am trying to work the numbers before I go.

I don't think there are any financing deals out right now. If you can wait until one comes along, then that's what I recommend. Otherwise, someone else just got 7.99% with good credit.

Search for the thread that says 7.99% wth, or something along those lines.

The dealer gave me 7.99% for 60 months and they said it was because my credit wasn't good enough (i don't have bad credit... i just had huge bills that weren't cleared from my record yet even tho i paid it off on time and it affected my score)

i came back the next day to bring the rest of my down payment and the finance guy threw in permaplate into the package and "made" the bank lower my interest rate to 5.99%. so... in a way i end up paying the same amount to the bank. he said i might as well get something out of paying the bank that much. i just think he wanted commissions and because i refused to buy anything more the previous day, he lowered my apr so that i would buy something but still keep the monthly payments the same.

Credit unions are your friend. Before I even talked about financing with the dealer, I locked in a 4.99% rate with my credit union on a 60 month loan. Dealer came back and beat it at 4.90%.

I don't bank with a Credit Union, but would you recommend I visit one anyways? I would like to lock in an interest rate before I go. The price might be great, but if I can't get a good interest rate, forget it. Any idea when the last TSX promotional interest rate was or when one might become available?

You pretty much just missed the last one. It ended sometime in the beginning of September.

I'd bank on the next one maybe around the holidays. They don't seem to have deals all that often.

From what I've been able to find, 6% seems like the going rate for a 60 month loan with excellent credit. Is that a fair statement?

If I can only get 6%, should I use that to try and get some extras such as tint? Also, will then tint the car with the % you want. For instance, I want 5% rear and back, 20% on the front.

I don't bank with a credit union either. I just deposited 5 bucks into their savings account and I was eligble for the loan. There are tons of credit unions out there, so if you don't think you are eligible for one, you should look a little closer.

They gave me 2.9% on my 2008 for 36 months, but that deal maybe over.

Automotive News says that Honda has $1,000 to $3,500 of dealer money on 2007 models including the TSX. The $3,500 is most likely on the RL and the $1,000 on the TSX.
