2006 TSX Key replacement Key Fob is only.....

$51 plus tax (CAD) at Acura 2000 in Brampton. (CANADA) I thought they were gonna be a lot more than that so I bought one (Driver 1) to replace my worn one. Actually if anybody wants my worn one, I will sell it. It's not that bad, never dropped, just regularly worn. Just PM me.

Do they charge you to program it to work with your car?

No idea on key duplication. The guy behind the parts counter came to my car to program it. He said if he left it up to the service dept. they would have charged me. It took about 3 1/2 seconds.

I'd like to see what the 07 TL and MDX fobs look like before i do this mod. the rdx fob is just too damn big and has no trunk button.

An Hour of Labour I takes literally 3 and a 1/2 seconds to program. I saw the guy do it. There are instructions on this forum somewhere as well. It's very easy. I was going to originally do it myself but the parts guy offered so why not.

yeah i know it's messed up, but i'm pretty sure there's no way to program a new key without the Honda Diagnostic System at the dealer.

If you do the DIY and re-use the chip that came with the accord key you still need to have it programmed.

Chevy Chase. I had them make me an extra when I bought it, charged me $40 for the key and programmed it gratis.

I'm talking about programming the immobilizer chip, which requires Honda equipment, the car, and all your keys (to make them all work). Not programming the keyfob, which any idiot could do.

Assuming you frankenstein one of your own keys into the accord key, you just put the immobilizer chip from your key into the new accord key and throw out the (blank) accord chip. No need to get the immobilizer reprogrammed.

Once again, anyone can do the fob / button programming themselves (the door locks / trunk / alarm part). There are instructions posted several places on this forum.
