2005 ABP at the dealership...
So, my 2005 ABP/Navi/6sp Factory warranty period is over next Tuesday. 4 years of relatively trouble-free ownership, with 49K miles (how's that for timing the warranty). I have done all of my own Mobil 1 oil changes and other minor maintenance (i.e.- air/cabin filters, tire rotation, etc). A total of about $400 in maintenance in 4 years, pretty awesome I have to say. I haven't paid the dealership a dime since I bought the car...until yesterday. I wanted them to look over the whole car, just in case there was a warranty item that needed to be fixed before next week...
They did a Mobil 1 oil change and rotated the tires for $100...whoa. A far cry from $30 (oil and filter), and an hour in my garage including the tire rotation. If I wanted them to change the filters (air/cabin), they would have charged me an additional $146 -- are you kidding me?
Are people actually paying this kind of money on a regular basis at the stealership??...WOW!

Is Mobil 1 a full synthetic oil?
The 100 dollar price sounds about right for a dealership. Usually $40 dollars for oil change and $60 to rotate tires.
But the $40 is for a regular oil change not synthetic. Full synthetic is more expensive. Did this dealership have synthetic oil available or did you have to bring your own oil?
