2004 TSX Airbag Light

Hi all, when ever I go to start my TSX, there is an airbag light. I've searched online but the only possible solution I've found is the seatbelt buckle needs to be replaced. But, what's weird is that sometimes, it does not appear. I was wondering if anyone has other possible solutions or if the seatbelt buckle is the only solution. Thanks!

Hi: I had this problem where the SRS light would sometimes come on.
First thing to know is that for the 2004, there is a lifetime warranty! For later years, they changed it to 15 years/150k miles.
The OBDII showed "Fault 61-10 Open in the driver's seat belt buckle switch, Permanent DTC"
fyi-My mechanic said that the airbag will not deploy if the SRS light is on.
ACURA replaced it at no charge.

Airbag lights are the first sign of a weak battery in my 2002 RSX. They last about 4 years so I'm on my 5th replacement, and the SRS light was on almost every time. How old is your battery?

According to the dealer, the SRS system is sensitive to low voltage starts and throws a code.

See if you can get a code scanner to find out what the code is (many car part stores will scan for free), the specific DTCs will get to the root cause. Or if you battery is old just change it as a first step.

Hello, I just replaced my battery in July of this year so I don't think that could be an issue, but thanks for the knowledge!
