1st true fun experience

Well this weekend was a truely great one (save the Cubs getting owned by the disAstros). Saw my girlfriend, went to a Cubs game (Loss), had a nice 1st week of junior year, got HD and a Sony Dream Theater surround sound system, and along with many other things, got to really push the TSX.

My dad and I without my mom's permission decided to head over to ABT, a chicagoland electronics store Mecca (the best place to shop for appliances, mobile audio, kitchen decor, nearly anything). So we check out the Sony DAV-FR9, a Sony top-of-the-line Dream System. 800 watts, 5.1 channel, cool looking head unit, pretty nice. So while I'm outside setting up the TSX for the box to come, my dad comes empty handed and says that we have to go home (about 7 miles away on long, speedy road) to pick up the Caravan. So he tells me to hit it and get home fast because the store closes in 30 minutes. So, I ask him while we are driving if he ever experienced VTEC. He says no and complains about me driving too slow. So on a green left turn arrow he says hurry up, and by then I'm in a good mood so I push it HARD. in 2nd gear (on the 5AT) I hit 6000 RPM and there it is. 40 mph through the turn, very little body roll or tire squeeling, and it felt DARN good . So I'm climbing up to 6500-7000 and shift up. I tell him that was it, did he notice a difference. He responds sarcastically, saying he doesnt care, but did that feel so good. It gave me chills. The rest of the 3 miles afterwards I played around with speed, very little turning involved. On the final turn home I decide to take it like a pro, hitting the apex perfectly and accelerating out. Boy, was it a fun ride . I'm sure the same experience can happen in other cars, but I am limited to a fricken minivan so I can do no occasional "fun stuff", but this weekend got some of the desire out. Of course it never ends for me .

HOORAY FUN CARS!

I know for a fact that my dad hates it when I drive hard with him in the car. He'd me if I did it fast enough.

My dad's much smaller than I am so he couldn't really give me an ass-whoopin, yet somehow I still wouldn't ever dare doing this with him in the car, let alone within sight!

Yeah I have some friends with IS300's, WRX's, 350z's, CLK430's, and M5'S!! from Northbrook. I myself have no car, so am I spoiled? I don't think so. Patient, you bet! Still waiting on that 2004 Acura TSX. My dad did own me, but I think I owned him back with that 40 mph turn @ 6000 rpm (bone chill). Good stuff .

oh, and I've seen plenty more. M3's and S2000's are nothing compared to 2 kids my age driving friggen red Ferrari 360 Spyders. It's incredible how frustraiting that is. That's what drives me to do good in school now while I have the chance, along with the occasional driving pleasure.
