I have contacted Acura of Dayton for my 1st service of my 07 TSX (4500 miles) and they have quoted me an estimate of $180 + tax. To me, this seems like a rip off, I was wondering what other members had to pay for this service? Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I have made a tentative appointment, but after hearing the price I am inclined to go elsewhere.

What should this type of service (first service A) REALLY cost?

 

My first service consisted of tire rotations and oil change. Totaled out to 70.

 

my first service also consisted of oil change and tire rotation. It was free thanks to being friends with the service manager.

 

First service was oil change and tire rotation. Came out to $55 at the dealership here in Colorado. No coupons were used.

 

A- Oil Change, $30-$40
B- Oil Change, Brake inspection, Suspension Inspection, Exhaust Inspection (equivalent to your minor or intermediate service), $125-$200

1- Tire Rotation- $20

You should be paying $60, tops. Ask for an oil change and tire rotation only in an a la carte form. You do not need the "Minor" or "Intermediate" Service this time around.

 

my first one was like 50 something...great service

2nd was 75 or so? full inspection, oil change, fluid inspection, tire rotation, etc

definitely go to another dealership if that's what they're quoting you for your first service

At Acura of Dayton the first service we typically recommend for the TSX or RSX is 10k, or 12 months,. We do not often see this vehicle in need of maintenance any sooner. If your maintenance minder triggered already at 4500 miles, we would only suggest the oil and filter service. I can only assume we thought you meant the 10k interval, which does run $180.00. It includes oil and filter service, tire rotation, front brake inspection/cleaning, and complete underbody/engine/fluid inspection, interior vacuum, wash, and spray wax. If you are just at 4500 miles, we would only suggest the oil and filter service.

 

First oil and filter was free at dealership.

 

i recently lost my manual and all that stuff.
i was wondering what the service intervals are.
when should i go in for the my first and second service?

I only paid $75 (after tax) for my 10k service, though it didn't include the spray wax. The dealer who sold me the car, quoted $89 (before tax) for the 10k service, and I thought that was expensive...

Normal costs of oil change is $39.99

 

If it's too expensive go look at other Acura dealers or go to a Honda dealer and get service there

i just had my friend change my oil for me at 2300~ miles.. cost me 30 bucks

 

but note i used the good stuff =] mobil 1, 5k miles guaranteed, it said so on the bottle, how could i go wrong?
