Saw they put the 08 model up on the website...guess we ought to be seeing 2nd gen TSX pics within a few months or so.

Im actually more interested in whether or not 08 will be the last year for the S2k, since I doubt there will be a "new" one any time soon, but Im on a tangent now.

they appear to be completely unchanged from the 07's from what I saw

That is definitely true (in regards to the 04 TSX issues).

I bought the first model year TSX in late April 2003. In the years since I had to bring it in to fix...

- moisture in headlight assembly (TWICE)
- trunk wiring harness recall
- back lighting went out in center console
- driver seat moving forward on braking
- front rotors wearing unevenly due to pads that heated up too much (fixed today in fact)

The car itself has ran fine, but bringing the car across town to get various things fixed got old. Thankfully it was all covered under warranty. I still love the car though (especially the NAV) and don't regret getting it.

That is when the changeover to the new TL is supposed to take place. It was in Automotive News several months ago. I don't know how Honda does things, but most of the time cars are built and held for several months to build inventory and prevent surprises.

It might not be available but maybe you can get around in the wife's car or in a rental until the new ones come out. My guess, mid-August should be about right.

More importantly the poster was asking when the MY 08 tsx was coming out while noting his understanding that the redesign tsx (MY 09) would be released in the spring of 08. The answer to the question is now. The 08 tsx is already available and can be viewed on the Acura website.

The 08's are already at the dealers on the showroom floor. I've seen two at diferrent dealers in Long Island, NY with the '08 window stickers.

Some of them have them already. My dealer (Precision in NJ) is listing a bunch in their inventory as of last week. I checked some other area dealers and none had 08s as of the weekend.

Just received my 08 brochure. It indicates the cd player can now support mp3 and wma files. I think this is new. Dealers near me are still void of any 08’s on the lot, so I cannot confirm.

not trying to be an ass, but as a designer at honda r&d I can tell you that the2008 TSX's are not on dealer's showrooms yet...production for the '08 models began recently and should not be on American shores until mid to late August (dealers should confirm this).

on that note, the 2008 TSX's are completely, 100% unchanged from the 2007's (you can verify this on the website)..not even any difference in color options, wheels, etc.

hope this helps clear things up...

I bought an 08 last week. Have the VIN, but don't pick it up until September. The 08 is $100 more than the 07. The dealer sold me the 08 for the same proce as the 07 and got 2.9%, so why buy the 07.

You bought a TSX and you live in Novi? I'm afraid something's going to do something to my car every time I go over to the East side of the state. I've had friends get "Import Slut" and "Buy American" KEYED in to their cars while near Detroit before. I've been yelled at for it, but haven't had something that bad happen (yet). Still... :-(

This is incorrect. My local dealer (upstate New York) has had 2008's on the lot for about two weeks now, and I have seen them with my very own eyes

The dealer tells me that the first shipment of 08's from Japan was all 5AT, which is why I still have to wait until late August/early September to pick up the 6MT I ordered (maybe this is what you meant mwschmit?).

Oh, and when I asked the dealer to tell me about the changes from the 07 to the 08, he grinned, pointed to the price tag on the 08 sticker and said "that's it." Non-navi 08's went up $100, but navi 08's went up $200. Go figure.

I am tired of poor resale and dealer BS. Besides, I still have a new Corvette and a Lincoln LS (the TSX is replacing my wife's Jeep Liberty). The Detroit 3 don't think twice about buying parts from China and we make parts for Honda, so I bought one.

Update, the Lincoln MKZ is made in Mexico, the Chevrolet Avo is made in Korea, Saturn tires come from China, so they better look in a mirror before they complain.

I think he's lying to you. Maybe the first shipment that your dealer ordered were all automatics, because our first 2008 TSX that we received was a 6 speed manual.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. My dealer did not say that no 6MT were available anywhere--just that they did not have any in their first shipment and that my best bet availability-wise would be to wait for the next shipment and have them do an electronic trade to get what I want. Actually he called me today and said that it would be a while if I want black in 6M

Traded my civic in and got a 08 TSX and it is exactly like the 07's except it has a MP3 jack in it. That was the only noticeable thing about it. Other than that, no difference.

Hello all.... I just wanted to say hello as my 1st post and comment on the 08 TSX.

I've had mine for 1 wk now ....Black w/ parchment 6 spd.
The visual differences that I've actually taken the time to compare with an 07 model is that the back end is lower and wider......just like me.

I know I'm a bad owner since I haven't taken a lot of time to really get to know my baby.

Oh I live in Central Fl.

Talking

Pretty sure. I had my remotes reset and the service pulled up an 07 TSX next to mine (since he was having a hard time with the reset and welcome screen .... don't ask)
I thought it was an 06 since it was smaller. He said it was an 07 and pretty much confirmed the lower and wider back end of the 08.

Maybe because it's black

Excuse for my undyed blondeness, what or where would I find that? Maybe the service guy didn't know the TSX courtesy car he pulled up wasn't an 07.

Looking back I should have taken a picture when they were side by side.
