Has anyone else noticed that it seems to take forever for the rear defroster to get going? I've had this for only 2 months and was wondering should I get mine checked out with the cold season coming up. My last car was a 2003 Honda Accord LX and that thing works much faster!

 

Both of my TSX's had the same problem. The rear defroster is almost worthless.

 

So basically if I took it to an Acura dealership to have it looked at, they'll tell me that there is nothing they can do because it is what it is? That sucks

 

anybody notices that the top 3 horizontal lines don't defrost at all?

 

top 3 lines are the anteanna for the radio.

 

Mine's always been pretty good. I get the car going, seat heater warming, rear defroster/front defroster (sometimes mirrors too) going while I start scraping ice off the side windows. By the time that's done I can get the windshield easily, and I just brush off anything left on the back. It might only clear that horizontal strip, but it's close to a foot tall and all I need to see out of anyway, so I don't expect the entire window to be clear.

The rear window's the one window I've never had to really work hard at... (sometimes the ice is just too thick on the windshield to loosen fast enough)
