07 Aspec Body Kit

hey guys i just had the aspec body kit installed in my car for about a week. the kit is just all 3mm double sided tape correct?

cause its not fully tapped onto my car. like the front sides have a little gap and so do the sides on the back. i even noticed today that the side tap was loose and wasn't even sticking to the body. i had to push it back. is anyone else having this same probleM???

Hey tom12282/liquidg3n3rati0n,

How much of a gap do have on your A-spec kit directly above your fog lights where the kit touches the front bumber? There seems to be about 1/8 of an inch gap on my 06 A-spec kit. Not sure if it needs to be flush with the bumper or the gap is normal.

I've also notice my A-spec chrome exhaust tips are looking really crappy, almost like they are starting to rust in spots. Can't seen to wax or wash them clean. Have you notice the same thing.

my 07 aspec kit seems very flush on every part except the sides of the front and the rear. but the reason should be because the 3mm tape is not near the top of the body kit and therefore gives a little gap. and when doing a car wash the water leaks through that opening/gap and gets the 3mm tape wet and weakens it. but yeah the dealer installed my kit and want to have them fix it for me.

I'm starting to wonder if you can just get the black plastic parts that are in the foglight areas since I notice mine seem to be roughed up in places like someone with a saw did something . . .

the gap was about 1/8 inch and the dealer re-attached the tape for free
Well since my car's color is black, you cannot tell the difference - even with 1/8 inch gap.. You could def. tell if it's falling apart before

And yeah, i also noticed the exhaust tips look crap as well...

To clean the exhaust tips
get mothers polish and power ball
attach to a power screw and it comes out shiny =)

Yup, just use Mothers Aluminum polish and start buffing it out with a simple rag. You'll see white to grey to black to SHINE!
