06 TSX vs. TL navi

I am probably going to be getting an 06 TSX sometime in the next couple weeks. I looked at the 05's in July, decided to wait for the 06's after I heard about the improvements. I was wondering if the Navi system is the same for the TSX and TL. My dealer told me they were the same in 05, but after I read some posts here, it sounded like there may have been some differences. Thanks for any help.

navi on the '06 TSX is faster and more loaded then the TL's; so yes it's better.

TSX navi has more points of interest, a faster processor, updated graphics, and best of all, Zagat restaurant reviews. It's one of the reasons I went with a TSX instead of a TL. Nav is very important to me.

If I'm not mistaken, the 2006 A6 navi is located inside the dash and all it does is show you arrows on where to turn, and the screen is tiny.

The TL's navi only has a few more voice commands, I don't see how that makes it dramatically better. The RL has the best navigation system out of all the Hondas.

the 06 TSX has over 600 voice commands as well, the 05 had less than half that, i believe.

well the TL does out sell the TSX, so more consumers are exposed to the extra voice commands on the car. Recent JDA for 11/04 does confirm the Acura's still the benchmark for top of class.

agreed on the RL - it's the best in the industry. if JDA updated their study this year, i'll assume it'll be an Acura 1-2-3 sweep.

edit: here's JDA for 11/05,

How the Corvette tops the RL is beyond me. I'm also confused as to why the Pilot scores so low. Where are the 3-5-7 Series BMWs?

my take on the RL's weakness is b/c of the non-touch screen. while it's easily to use the wheel and voice, having the touchscreen makes typing much quicker.

don't get me started on the i-drive...worst bmw gadget evar!!
