06 TSX trade-in value

my gf wants to trade in her 06 tsx for a benz or bmw... she has about 57k miles on it, and has been involved in about 4 accidents. 2 were just small fender benders, but the other 2 were a little more major. the first one she ran under a pick-up truck, and had her front bent it, and the repairs cost about 5g's. and the second one she ran a curb and hit a tree, and the repairs cost about 10g's.

i was wondering if any1 knew how much the accidents would knock down the overall price of the car.

That's quite a few bucks for those repairs, so I'd imagine the value would not be so great after all those accidents. It sounds like the safety of the vehicle has been compromised.

Probably the only way to get an actual estimate of the value would be to ask a dealer. I'm not sure.

Sounds like there was some frame damage. Ballpark hit of at least $3,000-$4,000. Depends on the quality of repairs and if all 4 accidents show up on CarFax.

the body shop did a kick ass job repairing it, it drives as if nothing happened... i dont think there was any frame damage, just body and wheels, and possibly the undercarriage got scratched, but prob nothing more...

it all depends if these accidents are reported to carfax. my car got into a pretty good accident and reported everything to insurance and what nots. it never showed up on carfax. so if they show up, its gonna knock down the value of ur car. maybe a few grand? man, 4 accidents though! u sure she wants to get a BMW or Benz? if she gets in a dinger, repair cost for those cars are up there!

funny enough, she blames the accidents on the brakes... while i have driven this car for aboud 6 or 7 months, and it never gave me any problems with anything... nice brakes, and nice steering... apparently not good enough for her, bs in my opinion...

Sounds like a really good driver, here's to hoping I never meet her on the road... the brakes in the TSX are definitely better than cheaper cars I've driven, like my old Escort. You almost had to plan stops with that piece of garbage. Ultimately, almost any brakes can stop a car in time if the driver is doing what they are supposed to.

Yes, repair costs are going to be through the roof when she wrecks her BMW/Benz (not if, the way I see it). Considering you could buy another used TSX for the cost of your repairs thus far...

As for value, I'm assuming the title hasn't been changed from clean (never totaled), so it really does depend on the Carfax report, and whether there's any underlying frame damage. A car can have a messed up frame and still look and feel okay.

Nope, you have to pay. And I suggest getting auto check in addition to carfax. A lot of stuff doesn't show up on carfax.

Having these on hand for prospective buyers is usually a plus, anyways. Of course, most cars haven't been wrecked 4 times, not sure if having the reports is as valuable then
