06' Owners, What Cable Are You Using to Connect Your iPod to Your TSX?
Just like the title says. What kind of plug are you supposed to buy to connect an iPod to your TSX's stereo? A cable with headphone jacks at either end or a cable that has and iPod jack on one end and headphone jack on the other? Just don't want to waste money and returning electronics tends to be a real bitch.
Thanks,
Opie

I am also curious about this. I test drove an '06 yesterday, and the salesman tried to tell me that through the auxilary jack in the console, I'd have full control of the iPod through the stereo/nav system. I don't buy it though, because the Acura website makes it seem like that auxilary input works with any mp3 player. I'm guessing its just a normal aux input jack with volume control. I'd like someone to say otherwise though, because it would be awesome to control my iPod through nav.

the Aux jack will only get you sound.
You need something like this (or similar) to use it:
http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=family
you can plug on end into the headphone jack or dock
I would also recommend (or similar):
http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...duct_Id=149006
for charging and it has an amplified line out

To hear sound: ($1.70)
3.5mm Stereo Cable
But, sound out of the ipods headphone plug isn't that great, so you need to use the Audio out via the dock connection. This also charges the ipod, and automatically turns it off when you leave the car: ($27.99)
monster ipod charger
Steering Wheel controls only change volume and switch modes (AM/FM/XM/CD/Aux),
you can get a remote to change tracks: ($13.99)
ipod remote
There are cheap alternatives to Hondas ipod kit, icelink, etc.

Thanks for the reply's. I went cheap and bought a 3 ft cable from Radio Shack for under $5. Works great, just doesn't charge. That's what the power jack is for though

There are a couple of products like this that both charge and give you a line out:
