Noticed today that the Oil Life display is saying 90% now(it was 100% until yesterday).

My question is: Does it decrease in 10s or is it precise to a single percent?

I can't imagine my oil life having dropped by 10% in one day. I understand the first 1000KM or so are very harsh on the oil due to the metal bits coming off the pistons and other parts.

Anyone know?

Mine's down to 80%. It looks like it falls in 10s.

BTW, does anyone know if the oil life is just a guesstimate based on miles driven, or does it actually have sensors monitoring the quality of the oil?
