04 Navi upgrade disk - DST issue

I thought about posting in the navi disc thread, but I hoped this was just a problem with me.

I have an 04 with the original navi disc until I bought the new recent one, ver 3.7 (2008) when they were offering the "discount".

Before the gov changed the DST dates, the navi would change the time accordingly.

The new disc was supposed to do the same, with the new updated dates (Mar and Nov), but when I got into the car today, the times did not shift according to daylight savings time.

I reset the time in the setup (screen 4 option) to no avail. I reloaded the disk twice with no apparent changes to the time.

Does anyone know if I missed something REALLY stupid?

If not, I'm going to have to speak to alpine.

Someone stop me before I make a fool of myself.

Thank you

My '08 TSX changed time automatically yesterday. My '06 RL did not.

Have you gone to the page to select your DST date choice?

There is a screen added that allows you to select between Mar-Nov (I think) DST and Apr-Oct DST...if you haven't selected the Mar-Nov option, it'll change in a few weeks.

If it's a simple clock setting issue, I had a similar go at it...the parameters on clock adjustment time out quickly, so you have to OK the change quickly.

Well that may solve my dilemma, but I just took a look at lunch and I don't know where that screen should be. I have 4 setup screens and did not see the DST selection option. Did I just miss it? or is it somewhere else?

Thanks again!

PS - I think the special price is over (per the website) and the disks are on backorder.

Update for anyone wondering (no one probably).

I checked the TL Navi subforum and they have the same issue.

Looks like Acura/Alpine screwed up.

On top of that, they pulled the language on their disk version page that stated that the update will fix the april/nov DST issue.

I'm going to call tomorrow to see what I can do.

SIGH.

Should be:

SET-UP

CLOCK

DST Selection with an "Edit" button...that goes to a screen with Mar-Nov and Apr-Oct as options.
