Will this wheel and tires combo work ?

SIZE: 18x8.
OFFSET: +38mm
BOLT PATTERN: 5x4.5 or 5X114.3

225/40/18

i know the tire diameter is off 5 but i dont think it will be noticeable on the 18" as it will still compensate the difference in the wheel itself

You need an offset of at least 45+

It won't work. You need a minimum of +45offset. A +38 you will be sticking out past the fenders. Alot! You will rub on every turn and bump and it will just look plain stupid.

+38 with a 7mm spacer = +31 offset, add spacer doesn't mean adding the numbers

not flush with the fender = rub on every bump and dip... especially if you are lwoered.

spacers push the wheel out more. thats why they are called spacers... they create more space between the brake calipers and the wheel. 5mm spacers on a +38 offset will make it a +33 offset.

you could buy wide rims with low offset, but make sure you buy skinny tires, stretch it jdm vip and drift syle

yea but then you'd rub the lip of the wheel itself... i think that would be even less forgiving than if you were to rub on the tire.
