Wheels and Tires....Style vs Confort

Trying to dress up the shoes on my 96 TL and am not sure what tire size would be best for some 17's. I know that the recommended size is 215/45/17s, but I did see another TL on some other site with 215/50/17s? I want to maximize the rubber to avoid bent rims - ya know. Need some advise.

The recommended size for 17" on our car is 215/50.

If you get 45's, your speedo and odo will be off by a little.

Oh, I didn't know that. Would have purchased the wrong size otherwise. Thanks again!

i got 215/45 and the ride is a bit rough...tad bit. im sure 50 would be more smoother and more quieter. if the roads in your area are bad, go with 50's. to be honest, id go with style than comfort =oD
