Unhappy Getting Wheel Vibration after switching Wheels :(

I bought 4 wheels with tires from what is SUPPOSED to be (not sure) a 2001 TL. Im not 100% positive it IS from a 2001 TL. And it seems I cant post photos because Im so new. In any case I made sure the tires are without a broken belt and are 100% balanced. When I go over 60mph I get a steering wheel vibration.
At lower speeds it seems fine. Can ANYONE help me? I just dont know what it could be because on my 15" (these are 17") rims everything was great.

^you can post photos.

upload them to a photo sharing site like photobucket and then copy the link and post here.

it seems like a balancing prob.

x2 ... balancing can only be as good as the operator, take it back if its not right ... esp if the wheels are new there should be no bends, my money is on balance

If there is a small bend, then they *could* be balanced out, but the vibration would get more apparent as you travelled faster.

~Cheers~

possibly bent wheels. go somewhere with a hunter machine and get it road forced balanced. it'll let you know where the bend is.

Slight bend??? In one of the rims!?!? Crap! They are all used rims and used tires and again I had them balenced and checked for tire belts broken. You folks dont think it could the tie-rods or something?
Crap..... if its the rim(s) there is no way to bend it back!
I wasted my money
So.... whats a hunter machine? A regular balancer wont tell you if its bent? *sigh*

google hunter road force. It's the most up to date and accurate balancing machine. Where did you get it balanced at? sometimes those balancing machines are bad and you still get a vibration after.

Ah! one of these http://www.hunter.com/balancer/roadforce/

I got it balanced on a very similar looking machine. Maybe I need to go to Discount Tires and have a closer look huh?

BTW I found out those rims come off a 2001 Acura CL 3.2 Type S.
Should they be able to fit well onto my hub perfectly?

When it comes to balancing tires and alignments I always go to Town Fair Tire. They are always good to me there.

bent rims can be fixed, but from my understanding once a bent rim is fixed, due to the heat they are exposed to after being fixed they lose a little structural integrity. therefore they become more prone to bending if u were to hit a pothole hard again.

getting a bent rim fixed should run about 100 bux
