I have 19x8.5's on my '04 TL with stock suspension. Tires are 235x35x19 Sumitomo HTRZ. Ride is slightly choppier than original tire and wheel package. I think it really depends upon what tire and tire size you go for. I chose the Summi's because they ride smoother than other 35's I have experienced. The TL will take 245x35's comfortably, but Summi didn't offer that size. Keep in mind that 19's are rarer and more expensive than most other sizes.

I have 19" wheels on my car with a one inch drop. The car will not look right with 19" wheels and no drop, there will be too big of a gap making it look odd with low profile tires. I am running 235 35 19 on a one inch drop. and it looks good just a fair warning the car will drive much rougher and bumpy.

1st gen 3.2 and 2.6 can take different sized wheels. A 2.5 can take a much wider wheel than a 3.2.

Rimz

i got 19x7.5, on a 225/35/19 tire...I love the way my car handles..The only problem is that I dropped it 1.5" in the rear..My camber is 3degrees offset in the back now..I took it to the shop and they told me I would have to modify my fenders so they can fix the camber issue, if I didnt do this my tire would be rubbin. Be ready to pay out the behind for tires whenever you need them tho...
