White smoke from exhaust

Hello everyone: I am starting to see white smoke coming from my exhaust from my rear view mirror after I press on the accelerator when I have to stop. Does anyone know what causes this?

If it's thick white smoke, you might've blown the head gasket.

You have bad valve seals.

Im going through the same thing with my 2.5 tl. Just started. Is the smoke white or blue? White smoke is probably a blown head gasket. Blue smoke is oil. If its only smoking after letting it idle, it sounds like bad valve seals. Getting ready to rebuild the head on mine and see what happens. I'll let you know.

Well, my car runs fine. It does not overheat, but does burn a quart of oil a week.Smoke really flairs from exhaust pipes after idling at stoplights. Thinking about hanging a barbecue sign on window.....seriously though, do you think it is the rings. Should i try heavier weight oil? Thanks guys, you are the best. I love this car and this site and would hate to part with both.

Similar problem here. Acura 2005 153K White smoke out of exhaust , engine light on, coding bank 1, sensor 1 O2 code with multiple misfires on all cylinders. Not overheating, no “sucking sound” like a head gasket. Oil and coolant looks clean, haven’t added oil, haven’t added coolant, no leaks present, took to dealership and they ran a compression check and it passed, found bad spark plug in cylinder 1, replaced the plug, running better, but rough at initial idle. Any idea?

okay, it's going to be hard to troubleshoot...because you're all over the place..
is the car currently throwing any codes? if so, fix that first. if it's calling for the 02 sensor, fix it.
what were the compression numbers?
how did the plugs look?
are the coil packs good?
are you sure no mix of coolant and oil?

Okay, Acura in Little Rock did not fix my car. The O2 sensor is fixed, still getting misfires on cylinder 5 and 6, after replacing plugs and packs. White smoke and gas smelling at exhaust, slight white smoke. Car not overheating. Now, car is starting slowly. I’m lost, lol. ICM? Bad wiring? Head gasket? Just not sure. Not sure about compression, but plenty of power.
