Weird starting issue 96 3.2TL

I have a 96 3.2TL with 101k on it that I've had for a year now. Yesterday morning with the car cold I tried to start it and all the lights and electrical stuff came on but the starter made no sound. I turned it to off and it started on the 2nd try. Later that night with the car cold again it took 3 tries the first 2 with no sound or action from the starter wasn't clicking or trying to turn over. Today it happened again this morning took 2nd try to start. Also it cranked right up for me with the car hot and also with it warm (2 hours) since driven today. The battery is only a few months old and is fully charged and the alternator is also putting out a full charge and the battery connections are clean and on tightly. Any ideas on what is causing the problem when its cold started?

Also list of work done to it in last year (other than oil/ tranny fluid changes)

1) new steering rack (developed leak 1 month after I bought car) $650
2) Acura EGR service with new plugs, coil packs etc. (0$ due to extended emission warranty)
3) replaced failed radiator $150
4) replaced brake pads
5) new downpipe o2 sensor and new catalytic converter (0$ due to extended emission warranty)

same shit happens to me....except that mine will tak longer to start. Sometimes i have to hold the key in the start position for it to work then like after 5 seconds it starts fine.

^ Another attempt at copying one of my posts. I know it's good advice, but this case is a bit different. The solenoid is getting old, and while it will last, I recommend saving up for a rebuilt starter. It will cost quite a bit since it is a pain to install. The front left suspension and axle must be removed to get to ONE bolt that is facing the other way compared to every other one, haha.

~Cheers~

P.S. This is a kinda old thread, BTW.
