Trunk Lock

Trunk Lock
My fifteen year old son, God bless him, broke the key in half -- while he was opening the trunk.
He, of course, blamed the key -- said it was faulty. (I added that for your amusement).
Anyway, its a problem I can live with because I can still open the trunk from the inside but it is annoying when I have my hands full of groceries. Is there a DIY on this... how hard is it?

I would check w/ a locksmith. Probably an easy way or special tool to grab the broken key end.
It's not hard to remove the entire keylock cylinder from the trunk lid and replace. However, you would need a replacement, and I suspect it will cost more than a locksmith.
good luck
