hey guys so i recently replaced my valve cover gasket due to an oil leak. today i checked it and all 4 cylinders in the front were good. the last tube was filled with oil.. bad seal? can i take it apart and re-use the gaskets since they are so new?

i reinstalled the gasket and cleaned all surfaces. the problem seems to have been fixed.. ill let you know if it comes back.

take a straw and suck it up, be careful you dont swallow some, and thats how you get it out

how hard was it to change the valve cover gasket?

so because you had a bad seal, did that mean you had smoke coming out of your exhaust? Did you do it yourself or paid someone? I think I am having the same problem because I am smoking like the spyhunter car smoke screen.

it is very easy to replace. i ordered it online for around $14 shipped. if you see any oil in the tubes its gonna be alot more because you will need the entire kit. it is very easy though i could do it in 15 minutes.

and yes, oil leaking from the valve cover gasket will smoke on the exhaust manifold.
