smoking

smoking

its weird.. i adjusted my vavles couple of days ago and now it seems that the car is smoking a bit.. no oil burning and no coolant either... what is going on.. only does it when the engine is cold after that it stops.. and only does it ones a week or 2... its weird... anyone know what could be the cause of this?

ok i think i know... i think its just the water being evaporated in my muffler .. i can see some on my exhaust tips when i rev the engine... its a little white smoke.... its all good.

ok i finally found out my problem if anyone cars... the smoke is bunt oil. i adjusted my vavles but i didnt replace the spark plug seals and oil runs down and leaks into the combustion chamber... damn seals!

w/e i said before was not the problem.. MY VALVE SEALS ARE GONE>>>FUCK!

That is what I would suspect. You may be able to replace them without removing the heads.

I've done them on other cars.

Basically put air in the cylinders using a compression tester connected to an air source, and use an over valve spring compressor to remove the keepers, and remove the seals.

Another option is to put the piston at TDC, and remove the keepers. The pistons will keep the valve from dropping down. Just depends on how easy the keepers come out.

If you have just a little bit of oil burn after parking it overnight, it is not a catastrophic issue.

my buddy was driving behind me and the only time he sees smoke is when i idle for 2 minutes at a light and when i accelerate it puffs onces and then goes away completly. im doing the seals sometime next month get it but i heard its a lot of work
