smells like overheating but it's not

I changed my radiator about a month ago and all is fine but I just noticed the other day when I came home, I smelled something so I opened the hood and it smelled like coolant but everything is dry and there is not overheating at all. I'm wondering if it could be the hose, I did not change it when I did the radiator. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The smell is new? It didn't smell after you replaced the radiator?
Could be a small leak that's hard to find.
Keep an eye on the coolant level.

inside the cap for the res bottle should be a hose that attaches to the cap and goes into the fluid- that hose likes to fall off and into the res
If so- the fluid cannot transfer
I would burp the system again to be sure, be certain the heater is ON-- FULL HOT so fluid can get everywhere
follow the directions in the owner book

the hose inside of the res is fine and it's not overheating, the heat is working fine and all appears to be good. I notice that after a short drive, if I have the heat or just the vent open that smell comes into the car. I'm going to start by changing the thermostat and hose, now that I think about it that is the thermostat that was in the car when I brought it back in 2000, I just never had any problem.

Start of a leak in your heater core?....

Actually it's not the heater core, lucky me while in the car with my son the other day the smell was still there and when I flipped down my radio monitor, I noticed the air was on fresh and I changed it to recycled and the smell was gone so it's an exhaust leak. I'm so glad it wasn't the core. I'll get under the car with some JB weld and try to spot seal any leaks until it gets warm again.

seafoam slowly added to the intake manifold will smoke as it exits the exhaust
Any leaks are quickly found!

a ziner with headers found that out- bad seal and smoke came right out it!!
Same thing happened on my bike, seafoam smoke from a center exhaust gasket thats hidden under a shield

Pressure test cooling system after re-burping the system per the book, to remove any trapped air
Any leak at a hose connection or wherever will show under pressure

I'll try the seafoam, i'm assuming that I can find it at my local auto parts store? Did you use the jb weld once the leaks were found or did you have it fixed?
