Recalls?

Hey everyone... I don't know if there has been another thread about this, can anyone that has owned or currently own their first gen tl either 2.5 or 3.2 had their car fixed/ serviced for a recall. Or do you know of any recalls? I did a Google search and found little. Before I purchased my 98 3.2 three years ago I was told by the previous owner that the car had just had a new transmission put in by Acura. I'm not sure if it fell under any recalls, I was just curious in case there may be something in the future or now to worry about. I don't exactly want to March up to Acura demanding all recalls be fixed... lol plus our cars are no longer under warranty. Thanks!

You are right, not many recalls for the 1G TLs. You can go here to view recalls and TSBs for any vechicle: http://www.nhtsa.gov/cars/problems/

I got an emissions related recall done on my 96. They changed out almost all the electrical ignition parts.
There was a transmission bolt recall, but they wouldn't fix it on mine since I have a salvage title. I've owned it for 14 years.

Was your transmission bolt recall due to a click or noise when the transmission changed from 1St gear to second? Thank you for the information.

If you are an ACURA Owner's member, it will indicate what recall your car has been through. Much like the Lexus Ownwer's site. All service history done with a Lexus dealer is logged from the 1st service day 1 to current day.

I never heard any details about the transmission bolt. It must not have been important since I've had no problems with it.

Had this recall done prior to my ownership. It was on the TL's history.
