Possible head gasket problem...need some diagnosing

So recently my 96 3.2 TL has just been burning through coolant. I've noticed that there is some in the oil (checking the dipstick, smells sweet also looks bright). and oil has started to get into the coolant reservoir.

I recently replaced my thermostat. if I replaced it improperly could it have caused in any of the above symptoms? I'm going to check out the thermostat tomorrow most likely just to make sure it is still sitting well. Could be just a coincidence, but it was only about a week or so after I replaced the thermostat so I'm hoping I can just do something with the thermostat again to fix it.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

That's what I was thinking, but I haven't seen any. but I've read that the coolant in the oil is a sign of a bad head gasket.

Blue Devil Gasket Sealant. It is the best and WILL work if you use it right. My coolant was overflowing in the reservoir so I used this special tester to see if it was and it turned out to be a blown head. My buddy from el monte said he could do it for $800 but since I have aluminium heads it would be harder and there's a great chance they might crack again. So he suggested getting a new engine. Ehhhhh. I passed on it. I actually heard my co worker bring this name up. Read it including the reviews and trusted it. Read everything and it seriously worked. I haven't lost coolant or consistently overheated for 8 months straight. Do it! Its number one in the nation and will save you balls of money.
