Old screen door noise from wheels?
Old screen door noise from wheels?
This problem has come and gone over the last 4 years (usually last for about 2-4 weeks). When I turn the wheel, get in and out of the car, and while driving down the road, my car makes a noise that I can only compare to your grandma's old screen door when it's opened or closed...higher pitched squeeking.
It is really embarrassing and I don't know what to fix. I've never done any suspesion repairs so this is all new to me.
Thanks in advance!

if the screeching only occurs while the car is in motion... it may be related to the wheel bearings or the brake shield on the back of the rotor not fully clearing the rotor while it turns...
if the car isn't moving and you say it does it when you get in and out of your car... the chasis/suspension may just need to get lubricated at the specified points...

Thanks for the quick reply. Yeah, it pretty much does it all the time. If I turn the wheel stopped, moving, getting out of the car (and I only way a buck sixty-five). I thought about getting the suspension lubed up, but I thought that ours was all sealed, so you can't lube it. Am I correct or miss-informed?
