Malfunctioning alarm on '96 3.2 tl
Gurus,
Thanks for opportunity to post this problem. I have a 1996 3.2 tl. When I lock the doors to this car, almost immediately, the alarm goes off. I have had this checked by a few dealers in the Montreal area and frankly, I don't trust them cause they all tell me that it would be time consuming and would cost alot to verify every possible cause (they claim it would cost more than the car is worth).
So it is with this that I humbly come to you for answers...is there a simple way to remedy this issue...if so what is the solution and how do I go about it.
Thanks in advance for your time and attention towards this matter. It is greatly appreciated.

It's a known issue with out TLs.
I had this issue also, dealer told me it was a bad door actuator.
I went after market. Once in a while still the alarm goes off, only if I start up the car with any passenger's door open.

^ thats weird ive never had 1 problem with mine... just rip it out and get aftermarket or as long as that red light brinks your cool without an alarm ha if they are gonna steal it an alarm isnt shit
i had this problem and it turned out to be my passenger rear door switch... when i would set the OEM alarm, and vibration past the car would set the switch and the alarm thought the door was open...
you may want to get inside your car... arm the alarm... and lean on each of the doors from the inside... see which one sets the alarm off...
