Exclamation Help needed with Radio code

Guys, I have an Acura 3.2 TL. I just had my battery changed and the radio displayed code. I tried to type in the code thrice and it didnt accept it. Now the display shows up as CODE.E ....what do I do now? ANd even though it's there somewhere in the forums, can somebody give me a step by step instruction on how to enter the code and enable the radio:?

first , disconnect the battery 10 sec using a 10mm wrench. den plug back it in. n look on the side on the glove department if u see a white label with a code..if not there, remove your radio if theres a code there. if not get the id number for the radio and call acura so they can tell you the codes

there should be 5 number to get the code right. if its does not accepted the codes..den i beleive your stock radio was replaced with a newer oem radio stock but im not sure. if it was replace i would at least take out the radio to check the number to make sure its the correct codes and call acura that is local. but geting the ID numbers but i would get a aftermarket radio..sooner or later the cd will stop working..mostly everyone one here has trouble with the stock radio

So assuming you do have the correct 5 digit code and the radio is stock

Do the battery trick to reset everything- wait like 15 minutes just to be sure--then battery reconnect,
your radio may have gone into a protection mode if you tried 3 times and failed to input code

Turn key to ON/ACC but not actually running
Enter code
Start car
Done

Good news!
Now write the code down on the edge of the glovebox door or in the fusebox door- so if you need it again..........

"found the new code on the butt of the radio". Duh, what am I missing here? Isn't the main or only idea of a code to prevent stolen radios being activated by any and all midnight lurkers? If the code is right there on the radio then ..... JC

JC

That would indicate a unit from a salvage yard
written on the unit so it doesnt disappear into history

a 03 lucked out!
