help with camshaft seals
Just spent part of the day last Saturday putting in new valve cover gaskets and plug seals. The car ran a LOT better, but found a leak coming from the camshaft seal. Anybody have any tips or pics of how to break the engine down to replace this???? Not sure how to do this on the 3.2. Also, do I have to replace the timing belt and water-pump at this time(if I do, anybody know what the timing is supposed to be set at?) Thanks!

If you're sure a forward camshaft seal is leaking, the timing belt covers must be remove, timing belt removed, camshaft sprocket removed. This will allow access to replace camshaft seal. I would suggest removing upper timing belt cover to inspect carefully w/ a mirror and light to confirm oil is leaking from the seal.
It would make sense to perform timing belt and water pump replacement when this is done, if it's anywhere close to replacement time.
good luck

I have no information personally on this. I would guess they would charge 4-6hrs of labor. I've seen OEM parts kits for $200-$300 depending on contents. check ebay for kits. Aftermarket kits are less than $150, some < $100. I've been satisfied w/ aftermarket parts.
