Hey yall! So my AC was out for a while, I tightened the
lower line (high-pressure) bolt and it stopped leaking for a while but then bursted open again releasing all the Freon and then I was back to no AC (of course on the hottest day of the month). It took me maybe an hour to find the right setup to use for this.
Start with removing those upper harness plugs next to the fuel filter and taking off the bracket and sliding that under the vacuum line and over to your intake manifold so it's out of the way. Then take out the transmission dip stick to see a little better. I used a 3/8ths ratchet, 3in extension, and a flex adapter after the extention to get them off. It broke free so I took it all the way out with a deep socket 10mm and a magnetic stick so it didn't fall. You have to remove the line bracket (where it's held in behind the battery) to pull that low pressure line (upper) off. WIGGLE AND PULL! Trust me it's stuck on there but they will come off. Then just use a small flat head to pull the seals off with a rag or gloves (DO NOT TOUCH FREON) and then push the new ones over!
To install them back, align the hose fittings and thread the bolts on by hand and I used a 1/4in ratchet and a deep 10mm socket to tighten them down, the torque spec is only 25 ft-lbs i believe so that was plenty. Then plug everything back in and reinstall the plug harness bracket !
P/N: UAC RS2560 The system should NOT exceed 27.6 ounces (there is no PSI reading only ounces). Mine is set at 20psi on the low side and pushing cold air ! Don't over fill it.Any questions, just ask!
I originally did yes, just picked up a dye bottle and found the glowing liquid. But it was such a bad leak it was just shooting mist everywhere so it was kinda obvious to see it haha currently have dye in it incase something else leaks!
