Electric fan question

Now that warmer weather is here, well for me at least.

How often does your electric fan come on?
The temp guage is okay, but even after a highway run , it's on.
3.2tl btw.

If AC is ON, then fan will run continuously, whether compressor is engaged or not. W/ AC OFF, fan will periodically kick-on when coolant temp reaches about 195F while idling or very slow speed. While moving at say 20 mph or more, fan will not usually come on, since enough cooling air flow is available w/o fan.

good luck

After I have driven a ways in warmer weather the fan runs for5-10 minutes after shutting off the engine. I'm assuming this is normal.

Mine's always on, hehe. But recently, I've noticed that my engine temp has been a little lower than usual, even though the weather is hotter. Fans don't kick in as often, even after half an hour of 160KMPH cruising. Last week, after a quick run to the gas station, it'd be on for 10 minutes... Need to get a new thermostat, I guess... Mugen one seems like a nice option with some Flex-a-lite fans.

~Cheers~
