Have you investigated the one-time emissions repair by Acura? Not sure if it's applicable to 96, but worth a check.

If you know where EGR and EGR manifold is located, it's a simple matter to remove, clean passages w/ throttle body cleaner and mechanical tools (stuff is pretty hard), and reassemble. I haven't done a 3.2TL, but have done a couple of 4-cyl Accords. The outlet holes into the intake manifold passages may be completely blocked and require cleaning w/a drill bit. The hole size may vary from hole to hole (balanced EGR flow sizing). You likely will need a new EGR and EGR manifold gasket. Best to get before you start. Presumably you have an "insufficient EGR flow" code?

good luck

If cleaning the ports didn't clear the code, you probably have a defective EGR. Other EGR faults set different codes. Time to let Acura do the emssions repair since an EGR is probably close to $200.

good luck
