CEL again WTF!!
CEL again WTF!!
I washed the tl today a little detal here and there. Turnrd it on and i saw the damn CEL on again. About two and a half months after cleaning out the egr pipe and intake manifold idk whats wrong.... BUt the trippy thing was, that as i backed up out of my drive way had the car in reverse (duhh), it started to kinda shake and bam she turned off on me. ANY ideas, or thoughts guys?????
Scan and then clear it up. Have a reader? It is a very valuable tool for us guys who have aging TL's. I am not complaining about our TL's.
People still scratch their heads.
What year is you Acura? What kind is it? I thought that was an RL....

Don't clear the code out. If you are gonna take it to some mechanic to get fixed then dint clear the code. The saved data is helpful when diagnosing.
Check the code first. Assuming isn't going to get you anywhere.

no codes yet....but i found out what it should be....i drove to target about 30 mins ago and as i tried to start the car back up There was no click. The car wouldn't start untill about an hour later...
Im pretty sure the problem has to do with something electrical because not so long ago my left headlight went out about two times already since i've owned this car every time i wash my car. "something under the hood must be getting wet"....

I had an intermittent no clink then start for about a year on mine. I replaced the ignition switch (electrical part) but it still did it. Finally replaced the starter (ugh) but it stopped it. If you live in Phoenix, I know exactly how to change the starter. I learned it all the hard way.
I agree that I could remove a driveshaft pretty fast now, but the first time you do anything it takes some time. I've never even thought about removing a driveshaft on a front wheel drive car before. I also was reluctant to use a pickle fork on the lower ball joint that has to be separated before taking out the shaft. I drove all over town before finding the proper tool. I still think Honda should have used socket head cap screws to mount the starter, and if I ever do it again, I'll special order both (at least the rear one). That would really make the job easier. As Go90go said on another thread, you don't have to remove the exhaust pipe to do it.
