Car's performance after being inactive

hello everyone, ive been noticing something with my TL for some months now. I noticed that when the car is inactive for a few hours and when u start it up and driver off in it the car tends to want to shut off. idk why it does it but i have to wait a few minutes like prollly five minutes or more before i move off so the car doesnt shut off when i i stop at a stop sign. i also noticed that the thermostat has to be on cold or warmer than cold before i can drive off. when underneath cold it may shut off when i stop. i guess i have to wait for the car to warm up before i move off. Why??? i dun like the car being like this. does anyone know how can fix this? i cant use the remote starter really because the car doesnt start up all the time (especially not while in this situation).

Definitely get your alternator and battery checked out. If seems like there isn't enough juice after the initial shock of starting to keep the fuel pump running. Leaning out like that is bad for the motor so be careful, m8.

~Cheers~

yea im going to have to tell my dad about it. I watched it today and saw that the rpm is a lil higher than normal when u start it up and going. but give it a minute when ur foot is off the brake and not on the gas and the car is just rolling it will drop and there it go. and once i put my foot on the brake the rpm drops and thats where it starts.
