So... I've had a problem with my engine and transmission on my 1998 2.5 TL.
I was told I've a blown head-gasket in the engine, and my transmission shifts really hard. It almost feels like it will stall out at idle, which it has in the past...in an intersection.....yeaahh....
Anyways, It's an automatic with a 2.5L engine (the one nobody seems to have ). Trying to look around online on how to change out the transmission, and which other transmissions I could put in it... but to no avail.

So! My question is: What type of transmissions and engines can I drop in there?

You should try a search on this forum. I don't think you can put another engine in there - the 2.5 is an inline 5 and other other engine will require some significant modifications. I could be wrong...
