3.2 thermostat?

Trying to find this thing but don't want to start ripping everything off to find it. Is it on top behind the throttle body or underneath. Also the reason I'm guessing it's the thermostat is the car over heats then sitting at idle to long. If I keep her moving I can keep it cool. Also all the fans work.

It should be where the upper radiator hose goes into the engine.

On the 3.2, it is where the lower hose goes into the engine. Under the throttlebody. I changed mine yesterday.

Check for debris stuck in front, in between, and inside the ac condenser and the radiator fins before replacing thermostat.

Definitely underneath the top radiator hose and/or above the bottom hose. Just make sure that you replace old/broken parts with a better than O.E.M. part, like a lower temp T-Stat, as well as getting the proper gaskets. I took off my filthy throttle body to not only have more space and easier access, but to give it a nice cleaning too. So you may want to purchase a TB gasket too just in case and return it if you don't use it. Also, check the front of the radiator for anything that could cause airflow restrictions, ie., in my Vetted I was having the same issues and had a really hard time trying to figure out what the hay was wrong with my system after replacing more than a few different things. Turned out that after the 1st fix that worked, temporarily, as I was driving home from the dealer I collected a plastic bag that was floating in my lane of traffic and made a home stretched across the front of the radiator lol. You can also upgrade one of the grounding wires while u r under there w a nice, thick gauge wire. While it is debatable whether or not that helps or not, you can daisy chain all 4 of the grounding wires for $20 out the door, so why not? I noticed a few changes, stereo system seems to have more power, car starts with less cranks/turnovers and throttle response improved. Good luck with repair and have fun! Especially with that back, bottom nut... it's fun to get to.
