Question Is the 2.5TL tranny filter servicable??

Im told by the dealer that only the 3.2 tranny filter is changeable
Please verify this for me. He looked it up and said the filter is a permanent non servicable part of the tranny assy.
Please help
Thanks

I have a 2.5 97, I changed the tranny filter myself.
So he does not know. It may not be a recomended maintenance item, but it can be changed.

I was at the dealer today to replace exhaust cat under the wonderful 14 year 150K warranty. They had a price for a transmission flush 75. Thought it was a good price but then they said they cant get the filter or gasket so its just drain and fillup. I'm in NY. Unreal that a dealer is having this much trouble with their own brand.

They know about it, they just don't want to do the job. It is a messy job w/ loss of fluid inevitable. It would take at least 1 hour of labor, perhaps more. Trans pan has to be removed. Acura has the parts (inlet screen, oring, and new pan gasket) for sale.

good luck
