Some PICs of the foglights on with headlights off mod

I did this today, took 1 minute.

Only concern is that the fogs will stay on if I don't turn them off with the switch, even with the car off and lights off. I can turn them on and off regardless if the other lights are on.

I used a plastic piece that has 2 grooves for 2 wires and a metal piece that connects them when crimped. I put both wires in the grooves and clamped it down.

Thanks boyz! Any idea why the fogs stay on as long as the switch is on, no matter what?

Aren't you the infamous Mike? I remember visiting your website one time and I was like wow his car looks really good. They way that you have your fogs in the first pick is probably the way that mine would be since I have the same lights. on my car.

Heres mine.

A great mod, tried to do it myself the first time and set off my SRS cell. Then my bro did it in a min. He got it to stay on if .1 key is in. and 2. fog switch is pressed.

^ Damn, tiny aperture! Should go for a little smaller one with slightly shorter exposure time to try and get rid of the purple effect coming from the sensor.

~Cheers~

^ I got it, but it's just that most of the car is no longer visible. I'm guessing your camera uses a CMOS sensor? I have the purple problem from my CMOSs as well. They just don't like things to be too bright.

~Cheers~

^ Nice cam, sorry I didn't look at the meta data. I was offered a D40x for $500 with lenses brand new but I passed on it. I had no need for it and if I needed a big cam, I'd just borrow my friend's Canon EOS, haha.

~Cheers~

No apologies needed, I didn't think the data be there anyway after PS [tho no PS was done to the pic then the top and bottom bars]. That sounds like a good deal, I got this w/lens kit&warrn for 7$$.

Sorry off topic. ;P

Any chance of a pic of the wires you connected? I have wanted to do this for a long time but the wires confuse the hell outa me. Also nice shot, what kinda filter did you use to get that burst effect?

If you are asking me, no i do not have any pic of the wires that was connected. There should be a DIY somewhere here. As for filters, again no filters.

I think that if you did it correctly, it should only turn on with the parking lights or with the ignition.
