Jrot, I really like your tails.... I'm modding my 98' 3.2tl and I've replaced front pumpkins with smoked lens fom Spyder (amber bulbs) but I've been freakin' stuck on a decent plan to change up those dreadful stock tails with the bright amber lens in 'em! Can you please share with me how to red out the tails like yours? Was it easy to do? (Idiot proof?) and how are they looking now/holding up? Thanks

dude it was so super easy. i went to hobby lobby and bought the red transparent paint for painting model car tails with. its like a 6oz can i think....then i just popped em off and i taped up everything i didnt want red. then just painted them in really really thin coats over the course of a day then let em dry real well over night. pulled the tape the next day and done. they have been through a ton of rain and 2 snow storms(salted roads here too) and they seem fine. no signs of them fading out or chipping or anything...and i think the whole thing cast maybe 12 bucks...only thing i think i would do different is i would tape my reverse lights in a more modern way, i would also go ahead and reseal/gasket the tails from the trunk while i had em out.

thanks man...i actually really got the idea from that deal on discount tire where you can look at rims on your actual car, there rendering had all red tails and i really liked it...i really do regret not doing something better with the reverse light though.
