Installed a spoiler

I'm pretty sure it's an OEM spoiler, but my car didn't come with one. I happened to find another TL with a blown motor so I grabbed the spoiler off of that.

Before

I made a template and had it all planned out, only to find out that the trunk already has notches on the inside where you need to drill through. So I scrapped my template and went off of that.

Cell phone pic makes the tail lights look blacked out, which is pretty cool.

Nice spoiler. Did you get it painted yourself?

Just a note: The rims are directional rims. They must face the same way. Yours are not mounted correctly.

Came painted. Came off basically the exact same car as what I have.

Thanks for the note! I had no idea and actually never noticed. They're all scratched up from the previous owner so I didn't care much either.

Gave it a try, but removing the whole assembly leaves a giant hole where it was. I also don't want to just take the bulb out since that'll look like I have a burnt out tail light. Maybe once I get my windows tinted I'll take it out.

Aside: rims are on the correct sides now

When I got my rear window tinted they didn't do a cutout for the brake light but tinted the whole window. You see it fine when I hit the brakes but if you took the bulb out you would never know it was there. I guess it's a lot to tint a window just for that haha

Can't debadge it. Got the Acura off and got it cleaned up, only to see tons of micro-chips in the paint where it was. So I stuck it back on.

And I like my sticker I had one that ruined the look completely, so I took it off. But the current one is staying.

Micro chips?

Do you mean the "ghost" lettering?

Nope, wasn't ghost lettering. Underneath where all the glue was there were chips in the paint. Like as if when I took the glue off it took small pieces of paint with it. Seems unlikely since all I used was goo-gone and a rag, but that's how it is.

I think I read on some other forums to use a clay bar, then wax it.
