Getting ready for the winter...
well it's that time of year again.. getting ready for the winter... so took off the wheels... just a few pics... i felt bad that my baby was losing her nice shoes so i gave her a wash...
how about a before pic...

bleh 15"... my brakes don't look that bad in person...

i also put bad on my JDM door sills... for a really long time, i thought that they were in the trash... but when i cleaned out my garage, i found them and put them back on.. useful last week when it rained like mad...

close up...

until march/april when the 17s go back on...

u have a good eye... that is actually haze... a few years ago some kids threw wood finish on my car.. here is the thread..
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ht=threw+paint
but since then, it has always seemed a little darker on the other side.. until i get a PC and put it to work on that side to deep polish and wax that side, i always see the haze...

MAN THIS GUY IS OBSERVANT!!!! yeah i usually keep a cover on the front seats because when i was in TX, the sun would bake my @$$ when i would get into the car... even with tinted windows and a front sun shade it was pretty bad... i had one for the passenger but it got damaged in the washing machine when i cleaned the car... so ill have to get a new one...

Thats how my tl is. Same color. Front panel was in accident. Only fender was changed and paint doesn't match.
I dont really care tho, as long as the internals are working perfectly.

the body shop where i usually take all my cars told me that the color of our cars are very hard to match especially since it is metallic, but also because it seems two-tone... i have had people tell me my car looks silver during the day when i see it as a light metallic blue... and under certain street lights the car sometimes looks purplish pearl.... i just love the color and hope my next car will also be this color... but so far the only acura i seen consistent with this color is the TSX and i would really like another TL in the future..
My driver's side door seems off in color in comparison with the rest of the car as well. It has a weird haze to it also. I polished and waxed two weeks ago (6 hours) until my arms about fell off, so I guess that I have to take the plunge and get a PC and work at it some more. I would probably rather take it to a professional shop and let them work their magic. (I also have tons of little nicks that need to be "touched up", so I am looking for a shop that will do that as well) After they do that, maybe I can maintain it.
I also can concur about the difficulty of matching the paint. I went to a body shop and the guy gave me some free touch up paint, but it is a basic black paint and does not EVEN match the car. I only used it on a couple of inconspicuous spots to test it. Honda/Acura sure does know how to make money, don't they? You have to go to the dealership for a whole lot of stuff.

and truthfully honda/acura paint isn't the best out their either... it is very thin compared to other car manufacturers...
