Bulb inside power mirror control popped and got bored...

Blue LED conversion...

Climate control...

has anyone changed the bulbs in the radio to LEDs? I pulled the board and the lights are soldered directly on the circuit board but are currently drawing at 7V so i will need to use resistors. any ideas?

Thats what I was thinking but I had to change because I was sick of all those wires around my gear knob, I was using cassette adapter. Now it looks all clean and nice.

Holy shit, that looks real good. I never even thought about doing that since the stock look is nice, but the blue LED's are even better. Are you the one who also changed the lights in the speedo and all?

i think the OG member that inspired me to do this a long time ago was 96TL... i have reverse indiglo gauges with blue-wedge LED bulbs at the moment, but will change all the remaining to blue LEDs soon...

i bought a bulk 100 of 3mm and 5mm LEDs from ebay and soldered resistors on... sanded/shaved the tip of the LED flat as to disperse the light wider and eliminate the hot spot...

old school way but i just couldn't justify spending 20 bucks for 5 neo-wedge bulbs... i spent less than that for all of the LEDs but just have to put the time into it... ill post more pics tonight when i get home...

i have a bunch left over so if anyone wants them done, let me know...

How you take the switches apart? What bulbs are inside?

you need to pry off the wood trim... that will allow you to access the rear of the switches/climate control... then you can begin to take apart the switches...

You need a small flathead screwdriver or a some kind of knife to turn the wedges so that the bulbs will come out.

I know how to access the switches via removing trim. For some reason my foglight and C.C come on here and there. If I hit it they will come on. Whats that about. Neither light up when pushed. So I put a good bulb in the foglight but when pushed still doesnt light up. Sunrook bulbs neva were on. Just realized from this post thats they were suppose to light up. I have 2 switches for fogs and they both act the same. Mirror bulb is on.
